Purpose and Approach
Birth, Pregnancy, and Postpartum are sacred and transformative experiences, and every woman deserves to feel connected to her body, whether it’s before, during, or after birth. This work is more than a career- it is a passion centered around comfort, light, and compassion for families.
As a doula, my approach is rooted in helping mothers feel seen, understood, and deeply cared for during the most vulnerable periods of life
What is A Postpartum Doula
A postpartum doula is a nonmedical individual who supports families during the transition to life with a newborn. The postpartum doula focuses on recovery and provides unbiased, evidence-based information so the mother can make decisions in the best interests of herself and her baby.
Postpartum doulas focus on “mothering the mother,” by encouraging proper nourishment, hydration, and rest so she can heal physically and emotionally. Doulas also provide helpful resources and trusted referrals to help reduce feelings of stress, anxiety, and isolation in parenthood.
“There is such a special sweetness in being able to participate in creation.”
